Hi, I’m Sophie.

I am an actor and singer based in NYC. I am originally from Leesburg, Virginia (aka the Washington, D.C. suburbs), but I have lived in New York since 2019. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Music from George Mason University and graduated from the Atlantic Acting School in 2021. I have trained for on-camera acting with Paloma Garcia-Lee (“West Side Story”) and with Chryssie Whitehead and Alexis Carra-Gibres (Broadway Arts Community) for musical theater and on-camera acting. In addition to acting and singing, I love reading (N.K. Jemisin is my current favorite author), knitting, and snuggling with cute furry animals.

 My Mission.

A friend once described me as someone filled with “happy rage”, and I’ve never felt more understood. Because that is exactly who I am: a happy woman who is also filled with rage. Embracing those opposites as one single thing is what I want to explore in my art. My aim is to encourage womxn to be comfortable existing in this in between, because I believe we all do. I want to create art that makes you laugh and cry at the same time. That makes you feel both uncomfortable and understood. That fills you with happiness and rage.

 A bit of fun.

I love dogs, glitter, and sunshine. Acting is fun and all, but so is reading, listening to music, painting, and cooking. I like it when my lack of a filter makes people laugh with discomfort and confusion, because, let’s be honest, few things that I say make sense to anyone but me. My dream is to publish a book titled “Sh!t Sophie Says” and fill it with quotes from a list my sister has been keeping for five years. My other dream is to own seven dogs at one single time.
